About
I’m Shreyas Thombal, a backend-focused Software Engineer and a Computer Engineering graduate from VIIT Pune with a CGPA of 8.6/10. I have hands-on experience building scalable web applications, backend APIs, and AI-powered systems using Node.js, Express.js, React.js, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, and LLM APIs. During my AI Full Stack internship at Yantrikisoft Pvt. Ltd., I worked on real-world products involving secure Razorpay payment workflows, LLM-based automation, resume ranking, API development, database optimization, authentication, and AI service integration. For example, I helped automate JD generation from around 15 minutes to under 15 seconds and built a resume ranking system capable of evaluating 100+ resumes. My projects focus strongly on backend reliability, scalability, and AI engineering. I have built an AI Gateway supporting multiple LLM providers, AuditChain for tamper-evident audit logging with concurrency-safe database operations, a distributed URL shortener with Redis and AWS scaling, and TaskGraph AI with multi-LLM routing and dependency-aware task execution. I particularly enjoy solving engineering problems involving API design, concurrency, caching, distributed systems, AI integration, performance optimization, and system reliability. Alongside development, I have also published a research paper on JobPrepare and a patent related to chemical food ripening detection.
Looking for
I’m looking for a role where I can work on real-world software engineering problems, particularly backend development and AI-powered applications. I want to contribute to building scalable and reliable systems while improving my skills in areas like system design, APIs, databases, cloud, and AI integration. I’m also looking for a team where I can take ownership of my work, learn from experienced engineers, and contribute meaningfully to the company’s products. In the long term, I want to grow into a strong software engineer who can design and build production-grade systems.
